After Kansas City's first offensive play, the game was intentionally delayed.

The reason they did so was good. The tribute was to the late, great Len Dawson.

As Dawson, Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes led his team in a "choir huddle."

Mahomes and his teammates left Arrowhead Stadium after the play clock expired.

Andy Reid, Mahomes, and the Chiefs made an absolutely wonderful gesture.

At the age of 87, Dawson, who played for the Chiefs from 1962 to 1975 and helped

lead the team to its first Super Bowl championship, passed away this week.

There is no doubt that the franchise will live on forever as a result of his legacy.
