This year's MVP race appears to be coming down to two main options: Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is going with the latter for his MVP pick.
During the most recent episode of The Draymond Green Podcast, the four-time All-Star gave his pitch for Embiid as the best player in the NBA.
"Joel Embiid has been on a tear," he said. " He's willing his team to wins. I think that has to account for something... I think Joel has started to create a little separation from Jokic.
"I think right now, when the next MVP ladder comes out — Joel gotta take that No. 1 spot."
In each of the last two years, Embiid has finished second in MVP voting behind Jokic.
With the Denver Nuggets big man currently the favorite to notch a three-peat, it appears Embiid could be on track to finish 2nd yet again.
Embiid is averaging a career-high, league-leading 33.4 points per game. He's also averaging 10.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, shooting a wildly-efficient 53.9% from the field.
Jokic is averaging 24.7 points, 12.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists per game on 62.8% shooting.
